New Dental Patients, Valuable Information

Want to be better prepared when visiting JMG Dentistry Family and Cosmetic Care? That’s great to hear! We want you to feel ready and confident the moment you walk through our doors. But even if you’re not, don’t worry! Our dental team is here to welcome you and answer any questions you might have. But before your big day, make sure to review the following information, as this will give you further insight into what you can expect during your first visit, any new patient forms you must complete, as well as dental insurance and available financing.

Your First Dental Visit

The first visit involves being greeted by a member of our team before returning to a treatment room where we’ll take digital X-rays of your smile before a hygienist completes a voice-activated periodontal chart via a Florida Probe. From there, we’ll determine the type of cleaning you need (i.e., prophy vs. SRP) based on the findings with Dr. Geller. We’ll then begin SRP (scaling and root planing) or adult prophy with the help of the hygienist before completing treatment. Dr. Geller will then review the X-rays and perform an intraoral exam before presenting any findings.
